Iowa Horse Fair April 9, 10, 11, 2010
The IAA will host a booth at the Horse Fair
Membership Update: The IAA Board of Directors met on January 3, 2010 at the Grove Cafe in Ames, IA. The board discussed the transfer of signatures on the clubs accounts (General, Scholarship, Youth, Iowa Open, Select Stallion & All American). All accounts will have three board members authorized to sign. Two signatures will be required for a check to be valid. The board approved a change to Year End High Point Awards. Members of the IAA must show under 50% of the judges that the IAA hires to be eligible to compete for the Year End High Point Awards. Any shows that the IAA cross approves will also count towards year end high points. The IAA will host four shows in 2010: May 7 & 8 - Iowa Falls, IA - this is a new show & location for the club July 17 & 18 - Cedar Rapids, IA Aug 21 & 22 - Fremont, NE Sep 10 thru 12 - Des Moines, IA Cross approved shows will be posted soon. The board also discussed the possibility of a club newsletter via email twice a year. Those that do not have an email address will be mailed the newsletter. This decision has not yet been finalized but is on the agenda for the next BOD meeting. The board was very happy to see a few members attend the meeting and share their comments.
